A.R. Snape is a Fantasy and Children's Book Illustrator and Tattoo Apprentice at The Lair of Lilith located in Ludlow, MA.

She possesses her MFA in Children's Book Illustration from the Academy of Art in San Francisco, CA (2016) and her BA in Art Education from Westfield State University in Westfield, MA (2013). Her work has shown in various galleries, such as the Monserrat College of Art in Berkley, MA (2022), the Richard Michelson Gallery in Northampton, MA (2018), and the Arno Mars gallery in Westfield, MA (2020). She has obtained awards such as the Richard Michelson Emerging Artist Award (2018), and the Tricksters Art Gallery in Berkeley, CA (2014). Snape works primarily in watercolor, and though she continues to pursue Children's Book opportunities, as well as bringing tattooing into her portfolio, her work has solely been focused on the realms of Fantasy Art.

She has found solace in these powerful aspects, creatures and worlds of the unreal, where her art has been able to have freedom of expression, growth, imagination, and exploration, as well as providing a place of solace for herself and for others. Currently, she resides in West Springfield, MA with her guinea pigs Moogie and Potato, her cats Queen NeferTiTi and Sir Chester, and her loving husband Jacob, where they ride motorcycles and take on the world one creative adventure at a time.
